Would You Hurt Me? The Doc!

Created as an iPhone documentary for my Directing Workshop during the final semester of my second year at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, this project started as a simple behind the scenes film. Somewhere along the way it became a love letter to the filmmaking process, the people involved, and the experience we shared while bringing this story to life.

This project gave us the chance to reflect on collaboration, creativity, and the community we built throughout production. As people of color creating together, those connections became just as meaningful as the film itself.

Before we share the finished film we wanted to give you a glimpse into the journey behind it. The conversations, along with the memories and the people who made it all possible. This is only the beginning.
