Read My Lips
Read My Lips
Synopsis: Charlee is an edgy, tomboyish young woman with telepathy, which she uses as a survival tool by reading minds to shape herself into what others want, leading to people-pleasing, code switching, and lost authenticity. Her inner “Mirror Charlee” challenges her to be honest and stop performing. Everything shifts when she meets Star, a colorful, unbothered, non binary person whose mind she cannot read. For the first time, Charlee loses control, struggles with real communication, and is forced to rely on honesty instead of prediction. As their connection grows, she realizes true connection requires vulnerability, not telepathy. Eventually, she chooses honesty, opens up to Star, and asks them out. In doing so, Mirror Charlee fades, and she finally begins trusting her own thoughts.
